“Agnus Dei” Roman Monstrance

This monstrance features elaborate floral filigree with oxidized silver medallions of the Holy Spirit, the four evangelists and the Lamb of God. A floral wreath embellished with red crystals encircles the gold-rimmed glass luna which holds a 2 ³/₄" host. A figure of the Sacred Heart of Jesus stands at the base of the golden rays. The node, stem and base are elegantly sculpted. The base is ringed by the inscription, “Verbum caro factum est,” meaning, “The Word was made flesh.” This Monstrance stands 27 ¹/₂" tall. Included is a hard-sided black case with a red velvet interior. It is lovingly hand crafted in Poland.
