100% Premium Belgian Linen; 72" and 95" wide; , 4.6 oz; 116 threads per square inch
This is the go to linen for St. Martha's Guild projects—the same linen that the late Elizabeth Morgan offered through her website, churchlinens.com. It is an absolute dream to work with and suitable for altar linens, altar cloths, amices, albs, and almost all liturgical needs. The Belgian climate is ideal for the production of optimal flax fibers, and in this particular weave, results in a smooth, bright, high thread count linen that is perfect for church use. At 4.6 oz. and 116 threads per inch, this linen is stable and strong, yet beautifully smooth, bringing both the high end elegance, and proper rubrics to your altar linens. Available in both 72" and 95" wide.
Linen will shrink if it is put through the dryer. Allow extra yardage for this. In our current batch of linen, the 72" linen will shrink 8% along the length (warp) and 2% across the width (weft). The 95" linen will shrink 4% along the length (warp) and 2% across the width (weft).
