The St. Hubert Brocatelle is a luminous and intricate design first produced around 1890 by Sir J. Ninian Comper. As with many of Comper’s works, the textile draws from 15th-century Netherlandish paintings—in this case, a depiction of the exhumation of St. Hubert. The result is a brocatelle of remarkable historic and spiritual character.

The fabric’s fine, closely spaced repeat and metallic shimmer make it especially well-suited for orphreys, stoles, veils, and accent work, though it may also be used for full vestments when a highly detailed, radiant surface is desired. Its structured weave gives the motifs a sculptural quality without being heavy in hand.

St. Hubert is available in a full range of liturgical colors: Ivory/gold, Red/gold, Black/gold, Blue/gold,  and Gold/gold.
