The Winchester Brocade is an elegant Gothic design first woven in 1862—one of the earliest and most enduring patterns in the M. Perkins range. Its motif blends a fleur de lis in a flowing ogee arch, alternating diagonally with a stylized Tudor rose, creating a rich interplay of vertical motion and floral ornament. The result is a fabric with both lift and gravitas.
With its generous repeat and refined detail, Winchester is particularly well-suited for large-scale uses: altar frontals, dossal curtains, copes, and chasubles. Its historic English character makes it a strong visual anchor in both traditional and contemporary sacred spaces.
Winchester is available in a full range of liturgical colors, including Ivory, Violet, Red, Roman Purple, Rose, Green, and Gold. Its texture and patterning offer quiet dignity and depth without overwhelming a design.
