The York Brocade is a simple yet elegant design from the 19th century featuring a continuous  vine motif—one of the earliest and most enduring Christian symbols, representing Christ, the  Eucharist, and the unity of the Church. The fine repeat and subtle texture give York a delicate  visual rhythm, ideal for both small and large-scale applications.

Because of its small, evenly spaced pattern, York is particularly well-suited for stoles, and orphreys that need to pair with larger motif base fabric. It is also a great choice for small projects that need a less intrusive fabric pattern or whenever a refined, quieter, presence is desired.

York is available in two colorways: Ivory and Ivory/Gold. The plain ivory offers a classic,  understated finish, while the gold-threaded version adds a gentle glow—perfect for feast days and special liturgical seasons.
